Introduction and opening remarks:

Faith and belief in the teachings of the holy religion of Islam are among the most prominent characteristics of the people of Afghanistan. In order to promote faith and belief in religious orthodoxy and institutionalize piety and faithfulness in society in an acceptable and desirable manner, and with the aim of further promoting legality, justice, order, and establishing sound administration in the country, the judiciary, the attorney general, and the defense ministry in accordance with Islamic principles, teaching and providing higher education services are considered basic necessities. These requirements are met when there is a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Islamic and judicial sciences and a scientific understanding of faith and belief, so that skilled experts in the justice and judicial system and educated scholars of Islamic sciences, proficient in knowledge and professional skills, and committed to religious ethics, can be employed as role models for society in the relevant fields and become a source of service to society.

Considering the teachings of the holy religion of Islam, the good principles governing society, preserving the supreme interests of the country, strengthening national unity, commitment to quantitative, qualitative, scientific and practical advancement of Islamic knowledge, application of internationally accepted standards in the academic environment, generalization of responsibility, promotion of the following fundamental values ​​have been taken into consideration:

  • Belief in and respect for religious and national values,
  • Promoting professional religious knowledge as much as possible, religious moderation and respect for human dignity,
  • Generalization of justice, equality and legality, strengthening the spirit of religion, national unity, convergence and strengthening social and political stability,
  • Higher education with quality and standards commensurate with the needs of society and the labor market, the principle of responsibility and legality, sound and trusted administration by the people.

Brief introduction of the Faculty of Sharia and its current status:

The Faculty of Sharia is an educational and research unit within the framework of universities, which aims to educate and train religious affairs experts, specialists, and provide experts and specialized scientific staff to the national and international levels in various sectors, including justice and judicial institutions, the field of education and upbringing, guidance and invitation to society at the bachelor's level in the fields of jurisprudence, law, and Islamic teachings. - God willing - its graduates have played a fundamental educational and educational role in solving the existing problems of our society in order to raise the level of awareness of the country.

Since the rapid social and cultural growth of society is inextricably linked to the existence of trained staff, therefore, the growth of society is not possible without the reconstruction and revival of universities, because their graduates have a worthy and valuable contribution in various areas of the country's vital renewal.

Vision and Mission of the Faculty of Sharia:

Vision: To establish the position of the Faculty of Sharia as the largest center for the education and training of scientific, legal and judicial personnel at the national and international levels.

Mission: The mission and purpose of establishing the Faculty of Sharia is clearly known, and it is to teach and train the necessary personnel for the country's legal and judicial system, as well as to prepare professional professors and teachers to teach religious sciences in universities, religious schools and general education schools in the country and in other fields.

The mission of the Faculty of Sharia is also to conduct quality scientific research that is consistent with the laws and customs of Afghanistan and to interpret, explain and translate the sources of Islamic law and specialized religious books into the national and official languages ​​of the country.

Objectives:

The objectives of this faculty are stated in the following numbers: Raising teaching standards in the Faculty of Sharia, taking into account modern teaching methods, scientific, jurisprudential and comparative research with Afghan law and customs, providing specialized academic staff for defense attorneys, trained professors to universities, religious schools, high schools and other related fields, raising public awareness of Islamic law through invitations, publishing books, articles, seminars and interviews, training young cadres in the fields of Islamic education, jurisprudence and law, providing access to quality higher education for all those who are qualified and who are able to provide quality teaching, research and services after graduation.

To achieve the above objectives, the Faculty of Sharia sets the following standards as an example or as the basis of its activities: trust and honesty, commitment and expertise, transparency and flexibility, creativity and innovation.

The establishment of the Faculty of Shariat of Sar-e-Pul and its history:

The Faculty of Shariat of Sar-e-Pul Higher Education Institute was established in the year 1401 AH and from now on, it has been working in the following two fields: the Department of Islamic Education and the Department of Jurisprudence and Law with experienced and skilled professors in the service of our dear and religiously-loving compatriots, who - God willing - will hopefully present their bachelor's degree graduates to the society in the year 1404 AH.

Currently, the Faculty of Shariat has (17) professors, including (2) masters with the rank of professor and (15) bachelors with the academic rank of candidate for professor, who are engaged in teaching and serving in scientific and academic affairs. Currently, there are (144) students in this faculty, including (110) males and (34) females, who are studying and are taught by (8) professors with the academic rank of candidate for associate professor to associate professor.
